Our Background

The New Dreams International Film Festival is a film festival made from love. It is a special coming together of film loving souls who are launching a very special week-long event that will showcase and celebrate the work of many filmmakers and cinematic photographers from all over the world. We are based in Los Angeles, with our main office working out of West Hollywood.

Ramzi Abed is the founder and President of the New Dreams International Film Festival. Ramzi is the provocative award-winning and internationally distributed film director of cult favorites including "The Devil's Muse", "In A Spiral State" and "Telephone World". He has also produced countless and varied television and film productions, from Lloyd Kaufman's Troma satire, "Tales From The Crapper" to Norwegian metal gods Dimmu Borgir's music video for "The Chosen Legacy" to Paul Bunnell's 35mm black and white arthouse musical, "The Ghastly Love Of Johnny X". Ramzi is a passionate lover of independent cinema, and has also distributed and sold many films internationally as a sales agent and producers rap. Some of those amazing films include "The Man Who Collected Food", "Mad World", "Stitch In Time", "Crackerhead" and "Brides Of Sodom". Ramzi is very excited about bringing his love for edgy and awesome filmmaking to the big screen by supporting filmmakers like YOU!
